We lost Ellie in August of 2004. She lived out her retired years with Marty and Lois of Placerville. A constant house companion for Lois and Marty hunted pheasants with Ellie every season. Even towards the end of her life when she slowed down considerably, she still loved to go and walk the fields with Marty early in the morning. Still retrieving the birds he shot even the season just prior to her "crossing over" at age 13 years. Ellie had a kind soul which displayed true Labrador
temperament. Her show championship, obedience and hunt test titles proved her to be a dual purpose
specimen of the breed. We miss your playful spirit and sweet nature.
