Our goal at Bayside is to produce Labrador Retrievers which demonstrate abilities in a wide variety of work related arenas. In particular, dogs that are capable of Master level work in the field and display breed type conformation. Our own bench-bred champions have qualified at all levels of the hunt tests as well as at the Master Nationals. Champion BAYSIDE'S MARK WEST CD, Master Hunter, Ranks #22 on the High Performance list in the history of the breed. BAYSIDE'S WHIRLWIND Master Hunter, his daughter, was one of the only 58 finalists out of nearly 300 retrievers who entered at the 2002 Master National at the tender age of 3 years.

Deb and Joker have become strong in the Master National passing 2008, 2009 & 2010. Joker was indited into the HALL OF FAME by the Master National Retriever Club. In 2010 Deb was awarded the Women's Challenge Trophy also by the Master National Retriever Club for passing the Master National 3 times with the same dog. Joker and Deb have had success at field trials, a 1st place Qualifing WIN!

We have an even bigger interest in field trails with a few of our dogs. Flint FC MOONSTONES IGNITES ON IMPACT MH completed his Field Trial Championship October 2009 and Qualifed for the National Retriever Championship 2009 & Completing 9 series! This year, 2011 Flint has again Qualified for the National Open RC.

While some of our Labradors are currently working service dogs with Canine Companions for Independence and the Guiding Eye School in New York, they are also competing and have earned AKC titles in the show ring, obedience ring, hunt tests and field trials. Our dogs possess a true English Labrador type and temperament and are also well know as loyal family companions and gentleman gundogs.

It is our belief that genetic health clearances and temperament soundness are of great importance. Our breeding stock is screened for OFA (hip & elbow), CERF (eye) and CARDIAC (heart) disease, EIC (exercise induced collapse) and CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy) . We strive to produce soundness and good temperaments in our breeding program and support our commitment with a written guarantee of the sire and dam's clearances. Bayside litters are responsibly planned, carefully selected; therefore they are limited. Check with us for upcoming litters.

Bayside pups are raised with a family environment and lifestyle. We place extreme emphasis on the socialization of our pups. Early introductions to a variety of new experiences and environments are practiced, while we grade for temperament and bird enthusiasm. Our puppies are sold on limited AKC registration and are micro-chipped while examined by veterinarians prior to being placed into new homes. Occasionally, we offer older, well started pups, for family pets and gundogs.
